Cave Tubing & Xunantunich
From the Mayan temples to the Mayan underworld, visit two destination in one day. This adventure starts at the popular Mayan site of Xunantunich just getting there is an adventure of its own. After the tour around the temples of Xunantunich, we drive to No’och Che’en Cave, where you will start off on an easy hike through the jungle to your starting point. As you sit and enjoy the tubbing downstream, you will be floating through a series of remarkable limestone caves, each filled with fascinating discoveries of the Mayan underworld. This adventure is relaxing and fun as you float down the Cave Branch River. There is also an opportunity to leave your tubes behind and go exploring into cave chambers, were you will see ceramic pieces and beautiful geological formation. The adventure ends floating down river through the jungles of Belize, were you first started hiking.
Time: 8:00AM to 4:30PM ( 81/2 hours)
Things to bring: complete change of clothes, water shoes, camera, sun screen, mosquito repellant, towel, comfortable shoes for the site & to wet
