DEPARTURE FROM SAN IGNACIO
From our office, it is a short 20-minute drive to the Western Border, where your international journey into Guatemala begins. Our daily Shuttle departs San Ignacio at 2:45 PM, and check-in opens at 2:20 pm.
BORDER CROSSING
Border crossing times can vary from as little as 10 minutes to approximately 45 minutes, depending on the volume of travellers on the day. Once you have cleared Customs and Immigration on the Belize side, our driver will escort you to the midpoint between both borders, where a seamless handover takes place with our trusted Guatemalan partner. Roll call is done here to ensure no one is left behind. Ensure you have your travel bracelet provided at check-in.
In accordance with Guatemalan regulations, all services on the Guatemala side are carried out by a licensed Guatemalan operator. Our partner company has worked alongside us for many years and brings a wealth of experience and professionalism to every journey — you are in excellent hands from the moment you cross the border.
ONWARD TO FLORES
Once across the border, settle in and enjoy a scenic two-hour drive through the lush landscapes of the Petén region, arriving at the charming island town of Flores — with a drop-off right in front of the iconic I Love Petén sign. We get to Flores at around 5:30 pm to 6:00 pm, depending on how long the border crossing takes.
